Oriental Tarot 1845
Price: $8.99
Reproduction of a 19th century deck, lost to tarot historians until its rediscovery in 2010 by then-president of the Italian section of the International Playing Cards Society, Giuliano Cripps. Originally produced by Claudio Faudraz - a lithographer from Turin, Italy - the images were designed to imbue the traditional tarot style of the time with an Eastern flavor. This reprint, released by Rinascimento Italian Style Art, was created by scanning a set of original, black-and-white uncut sheets, then adding watercolors to the images "in a way consistent with the mid-nineteenth century style".
