This is one of the wonderful designs of the prolific Philippine artist Lynyrd Narciso. It bears the title in old Filipino Tarot ng Daigdig sa Balintataw which translates to "The World inside the Pupil" (the black part of the eye). Narciso's art is anchored in strong underlying drawing, which he has coloured with subtle muted tones keyed to a tight palette. He uses a rather neat technique of altering the contrast in the line drawing so as to create a background, middle ground and foreground to the forms. He adheres closely to the tarot archetypes, but presents them in a new stylised and entirely coherent manner, especially using leaf and feather forms.

As the title of the Golden Dawn Magical Tarot suggests, this deck uses symbology and colours as adhered to by the Order of the Golden Dawn. The major arcana show abstract and very vibrant scenes, but the minors are overly repetitive. Little changes between the cards of a suit but the number of cups or pentacles.

The Hanson-Roberts Tarot is the deck I learnt to read with.. it's an easy to understand one for beginners and has positive, slightly medieval artwork that was originally drawn in coloured pencil. Some of the humans look a little odd, but it grows on you.
