The cards of this Taro, by occult writer and artist Ithell Colquhoun, are reminiscent of Rorschach ink blots. The images were made by pouring enamel paint onto a flat sheet of paper, for a swirling abstract effect. It's a full 78 card deck, now in print from Adam McLean more than thirty years after it was originally created.

As the title of the Golden Dawn Magical Tarot suggests, this deck uses symbology and colours as adhered to by the Order of the Golden Dawn. The major arcana show abstract and very vibrant scenes, but the minors are overly repetitive. Little changes between the cards of a suit but the number of cups or pentacles.

This Manga Tarot is a a deck connected with the Eastern imagination, as illustrated in the comics known as manga. Designed by Anna Maria D'Onofrio and published by Il Meneghello in 1999, the 78 card "La Corte Dei Tarocchi" is a gorgeous blend of modernized Medieval imagery using mostly traditional, generally Marseille-based tarot archetypes. All card titles in Italian. Produced in a limited numbered edition of 1100. The illustrations have parchment-like backgrounds, water-color-like shading and textured coloring, combined with three different title styles to create an impressive array of nearly tactile images. The thick, tall cards have an 'aged vellum' appearance, as if they were painted in Renaissance or Medieval times.
