Designed by Anna Maria D'Onofrio and published by Il Meneghello in 1999, the 78 card "La Corte Dei Tarocchi" is a gorgeous blend of modernized Medieval imagery using mostly traditional, generally Marseille-based tarot archetypes. All card titles in Italian. Produced in a limited numbered edition of 1100. The illustrations have parchment-like backgrounds, water-color-like shading and textured coloring, combined with three different title styles to create an impressive array of nearly tactile images. The thick, tall cards have an 'aged vellum' appearance, as if they were painted in Renaissance or Medieval times.

The Egyptian Tarot from Fournier is yet another of the many Ancient Egyptian-theme tarot decks, but is more attractive than most. The traditional-looking art is illustrated in muted watercolour, and the cards are titled in English and Spanish. It's not strictly a tarot; the minor cards are just numbered 23 - 78 and aren't placed in suits.
